Taylor University is seeking applications of candidates for a Competitive Cheer Coach. This is a part-time, 12 month, exempt position located in Upland, Indiana. Resumes will be accepted until position is filled.

The head coach for the competitive cheer team will be responsible for the teaching and mentoring of student–athletes in a competitive environment. Within the confines of the Taylor University and Athletic mission statements they will model behavior and promote standards of the highest quality. This position will be responsible for maintaining an awareness and developing strategies that would be consistent with the most current philosophies within the scope of competitive cheer. This would include being aware of and adhering to all NAIA, Crossroads League and Taylor University rules and regulations with regards to eligibility, recruiting, etc.
This position operates with autonomy and a high level of individual judgement in the areas of: competition and practice scheduling, recruiting, uniform and equipment purchases, travel arrangement, maintaining and managing university provided budget, fundraising initiatives, and spiritual discipleship of team. Other duties would include: attendance at all departmental meetings, reading and operating according to the policies and procedures of the athletic department, communication and effective collaboration with the sports information and athletic training departments.
Education Requirements: 4 year college degree
