This is a full time staff position. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications, education, and experience. Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Alverno College Director of Athletics serves as the primary administrator of the College’s NCAA Division III intercollegiate sports program, including seven sports with membership in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC). Responsibilities include expanding student athlete enrollment; supervising coaches and athletic staff; fundraising; ensuring compliance with NCAA and NACC regulations; managing campus athletic and fitness facilities; promoting the integration of Athletics into the overall college experience. Requires frequent evening and weekend work. Occasional travel is also required.
Qualifications and Education
Bachelor’s degree is required. Master’s degree in Athletics Administration, Education Administration, or a related field preferred.
Experience working in higher education, particularly in athletics administration, strongly preferred.
Collegiate coaching and student athlete recruitment experience preferred.
History of successful leadership, including personnel and budget management, regulatory compliance, and operations.
Documented success in fundraising strongly preferred.
Must have the ability to develop and articulate measurable program objectives and facilitate implementation.
Requires the ability to communicate and respond to both internal and external customers professionally and in a timely manner.
Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, faculty, students, and the general public.
Requires strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
Requires the ability to work with and maintain confidential information.
Requires a working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Must be able to work evenings and weekends as necessary to attend practices and events. Occasional travel is required.
Current driver’s license, meeting the qualifications to drive rented Alverno vehicles.
