Xavier Athletics seeks applications for a Part-time Assistant Coach Men’s and Women’s Swimming. This position assists the Men’s and Women’s Swimming Head Coach with direction and administrative oversight of the intercollegiate men’s and women’s swimming program relative to successful athletic performance, recruitment and retention of student-athletes, and providing the necessary leadership for a positive competitive environment for student-athletes.
Requirements & Responsibilities: •Skills, characteristics and experience: Possess a philosophy of coaching and education that fits the mission of Xavier University and the mission of Xavier Athletics. Ability to interact and represent Xavier well with a diverse constituency of students, faculty, alumni and media. •Conducts practices and meets: Provides leadership and guidance necessary for a positive competitive environment for the Student Athletes. Designs individual practices and season training plans for certain groups. Attends meets, providing strategy before and feedback after races. Assures compliance with NCAA and BIG EAST Conference rules and regulations. Communicates with Compliance Officer about any procedures relating to the sport.

A proven record of success in NCAA as an athlete or coach. Minimum of one year of NCAA Division I preferred.
Agrees to have knowledge of and compliance with NCAA, BIG EAST Conference, and Athletic Department rules and regulations.
Have a valid driver's license and meet the requirement for insurability under Xavier University's policy.
Experience with Hytek Team Manager, Meet Manager and video review software also preferred.
