Fairleigh Dickinson University-Metropolitan is seeking applicants for the position of Graduate Assistant-Strength and Conditioning. The Graduate Assistant will be a member of the FDU Athletics Strength and Conditioning team and provide support to the department’s 19 NCAA Division I teams. This is a hands-on position with the potential for developing a wide array of experiences.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to direct oversight of up to five assigned sports; collaborate with coaching staff; supervise individual and team workouts; weight room maintenance/cleaning; attendance in a weekly staff meeting; and other duties as assigned.
Anticipated start date: January 18, 2021 (this can start earlier if the applicant enrolls in winter session I or II).
Requirements and qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and four years of relevant experience or a combination of education and relevant experience.
CSCS certified or sitting for the test soon.
Previous internship in collegiate strength and conditioning.
Knowledge of program design, exercise instruction, speed, and conditioning.
The desire for a career in strength and conditioning.
Great communicator, proactive, and energetic.
