Elon University is seeking highly motivated individual to serve as Director of Video Production for Athletics. The Director of Video Production for Athletics will serve as a member of the Athletics Communication team and will work closely with the Coordinating Producer of Elon Sports Vision in the Elon University School of Communications on all aspects of live video production of athletic events. Additionally, this position will work closely with external units and sport teams to conceptualize and execute video projects including intro videos, commercials, videoboard and streaming graphical assets, highlight videos and more. TThe successful candidate will be responsible for creating weekly preview videos and post-event highlight videos for all 17 of Elon’s Division I athletic teams. The individual will manage and contribute creative ideas involving social networking websites such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. Responsibilities will also include management of specific parts of the Elon Athletics website, design projects for athletic marketing initiatives and serving as the department liaison for the Elon student-produced ESPN2 production of “Phoenix Weekly,” which produces eight episodes a semester. The individual will possess a strong work-ethic, the ability to juggle multiple projects at a time and a working knowledge of college athletics. The selected candidate will supervise a student staff of 3-6 individuals to assist with video projects and photography needs of the athletic department.
