The head baseball coach responsibilities range from the planning, recruiting, coaching, developing, implementing, communication and administering of their program to achieve University and Department objectives to teaching duties within the Department of Athletics. This position will support in the mission of preparing our students for a diverse and inclusive world by collaborating with the Athletic department in the implementation of Pointer Beginnings, Pioneer Leadership Academy, Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, and annual Title IX training. In addition, this position will have autonomy in developing leadership programming that is specific to student-athletes within the baseball program and can include curriculum on a variety of concepts including, but not limited to: leadership, social unrest, emotional intelligence, life after college athletics and creating and maintaining a diverse and inclusive team culture. The position of UWSP Head Baseball coach reports directly to the Athletic Director.
-College coaching experience
-Knowledge of and ability to learn Front Rush, Excel and other recruiting software packages and applications
- Master’s degree
- WIAC coaching or playing experience
- Knowledge of Midwest recruitment
