Regis University’s Department of Athletics is seeking applicants for a Graduate Assistant position to assist in overseeing its athletic facilities and assist in event management. The graduate assistant will provide essential support services for a 12 sport NCAA Division II athletic department.
The position will report directly to the Assistant Athletic Director of Facilities and will perform tasks as assigned, including but not limited to:
Assist with management of setup and event operations;
Assist with set up and preparation for athletic events at all Regis facilities and other off-site locations;
Assist with the scheduling of all Regis athletic venues;
Assist in event coverage of home events;
Assist in the supervision of a large student worker group and table staff for home events;
Assist administrative staff with game-day operations;
Communicate with the athletics staff and coaches as well as Regis Event Services and Health and Wellness on facilities & scheduling needs;
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree and acceptance into a Regis University graduate program. Must have proven written and oral communications skills. Candidates should possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to work hard and learn. They will have to be able to multi-task in a setting with frequent interruptions. Evening and weekend work is required. Must have the ability to accomplish tasks with little supervision. Must be willing to stand for long periods of time. Ability to lift at least 50 pounds. Working in hazardous weather may be necessary.
Start date is flexible, but recommended no later than January 17, 2021.
Previous involvement in intercollegiate athletics event operation and facilities management. Experience in field painting and knowledge of basic hand tools is a plus.

Additional Salary Information: The graduate assistant position is a two or three year assignment. The graduate assistant will receive $15,000 per year ($7,500 per semester) in the form of a scholarship to cover tuition, fees, and some living expenses.
