Graduate Assistant- Sports Performance Coach

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Bachelor’s degree
2. Acceptance into the Masters of Sports Administration program at Northwestern University (NU)
3. Provide proof of certification either through Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) by the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association OR Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) from the National Strength and Conditioning Association
4. Experience in a collegiate strength and conditioning setting working with female and male student-athletes
5. Certified in First Aid and CPR/AED
6. Ability to work productively with coaches, staff, and student-athletes
7. Experience supervising and directing student-athletes and other personnel
8. Ability and willingness to work evenings, weekends and holidays
9. Ability to lift up to 50+lbs
10. Responsible for adhering to all Department and University policies and procedures, as well as the rules, regulations, bylaws and interpretations of the Big Ten Conference and the NCAA

Official start date is June 1, 2021. All interested applicants for the position at NU must be accepted into the Masters of Sports Administration graduate program. In order to take graduate courses, applicants must obtain a Summer quarter of 2021 acceptance. Graduate courses begin June 21, 2021. Deadline for Graduate School Application must be submitted by April 15, 2021.
