Job Description:
Reporting to the Director of Student Health and Wellness, the Head Athletic Trainer is responsible for overseeing the sports medicine department, coordinating athletic training services for the 21 NCAA Division III varsity athletic programs, supervising the athletic training staff, and serving as a preceptor for athletic training students for a nearby athletic training program.
Requirements:
Qualified candidates possess a master's degree in athletic training or related field, certified by and in good standing with the Board of Certification as an athletic trainer, has 5+ years of relevant experience working in a collegiate setting demonstrating increasing levels of responsibilities throughout their career and have their Maryland state licensure or be eligible. The candidate must be available to work nights and weekends and must be adaptable to the changing landscape of collegiate athletics. A successful candidate is innovative and adaptable, has the ability to think globally, and possess strong communication, problem-solving and organizational skills.
