The United States Military Academy (USMA), an NCAA Division I FBS Independent is currently accepting applications for the Head Football Athletic Trainer position. This is a contracted position with the Army West Point Athletic Association. The selected candidate will report directly to the Head Team Physician and the Associate Athletic Director/Head Athletic Trainer and will be responsible for providing athletic training services that center on injury prevention, emergency care, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries and medical illness. Administrative duties include record keeping, policy and procedures, rehabilitation protocol development, budgeting, and communication with coaches, physicians, cadet-athletes, and administrators. The candidate will be a key member of the High Performance leadership and should be able to demonstrate expertise in all aspects of athletic training support to cadet-athletes and successful experience working with people for diverse backgrounds. Individual will comply with NATA Code of Professional Practice and New York State Professional practice guidelines.

Minimum qualifications include: -Master’s degree in Athletic Training or related field -Board of Certification (BOC) recognition as Certified Athletic Trainer -Eligible for New York State Licensure -At least 5 years post master’s degree experience in Division I football. Preferred qualifications include: -Manual therapy skill sets -CSCS/FMS certification -NFL internship experience -Demonstrated verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
