Reporting to the Associate Director of Operations & Facilities, this individual will manage games/events for all athletic programs and serve as the point of contact for visiting teams, officials and security in the absence of the Associate Athletic Director. Individual will: assist in the management, administration and supervision of all athletic facilities which require evenings and weekends; supervise and train student event staff; work closely with departmental and other University constituents to prepare all home venues for competition; coordinate maintenance and distribution of uniforms and equipment for 20 Division I athletics teams including the laundering of uniforms and practice gear, sizing of equipment, and billing athletes for outstanding equipment; inspect all incoming supplies and goods while maintaining an efficient inventory system; and hire, train and supervise equipment room staff (student workers). Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree with a strong interest and knowledge of college athletics along with an interest in pursuing a career in college athletic administration. Individual must also: be organized and have the ability to juggle multiple events through strong planning; communicate, manage, and motivate student workers; and communicate with coaches, student-athletes, student workers, and fans in order to provide quality service and quality experiences. A valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record is required. |
