The University of Tennessee at Martin is currently accepting applications for a Head Men’s Basketball Coach. This position will report directly to the Director of Athletics and duties will include:
•Organizing, administering, and coaching of an NCAA Division I basketball team. •Planning and conducting team and individual practices, to include training and conditioning programs within the time parameters of NCAA rules. •Scheduling non-conference games. •Creating and implementing a plan for the recruitment of student-athletes. •Fundraising and public relations. •Budget management. •Strict adherence to the University of Tennessee, Ohio Valley Conference, and NCAA rules and regulations. •Implementing academic accountability measures for student-athletes to ensure that student-athletes maintain progress toward their degrees throughout their playing experience at UT Martin. •Other duties deemed necessary by the Director of Athletics.

Collegiate men’s basketball coaching experience (5 years of relevant experience)
Proven recruiting experience at the four-year collegiate level, preferably NCAA Division I.
Experience directing a staff of four or more people.
Thorough knowledge and commitment to compliance with NCAA rules, especially those related to student-athlete welfare.
Proven success with APR (Academic Progress Rate) issues.
Proven success in recruiting
