Assistant Director, Development (3 vacancies)

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 1-year direct fundraising or transferable experience (marketing, admissions, public relations, alumni relations, volunteer management, or sales experience)

OR

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 7 years directly related experience

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:

1. Experience writing and preparing fundraising solicitations and gift proposals
2. Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication, public speaking and presentation skills
3. Excellent organizational skills, to include the ability to prioritize projects and meet established deadlines
4. Ability to travel and work evenings and weekends as necessary in the performance of assigned duties is required
5. Must have the ability to demonstrate uncompromised judgment and discretion with regard to interpersonal relationships both internally and externally
6. Must be able to maintain confidentiality and use upmost discretion when privy to sensitive information
7. Must have truly outstanding customer service and interpersonal communication skills
8. Ability to interact effectively with coaches, administrators, student athletes, perspective donors, external constituencies and vendors
9. Proven ability to multi-task effectively
10. Proficient computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets and other software necessary to the development operation
11. Travel with sport teams for away contests.
12. Thorough knowledge of NCAA and American Athletic Conference rules and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. College athletics fundraising experience
2. Working knowledge of Advance and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
