The Assistant Director of Football Creative Video will help support the visual brand strategy, storytelling, and creative video content production for the Virginia Football program. The position will oversee video content creation for all social and digital media platforms. The position will focus mainly on video production, editing, and will occasionally assist with graphic design needs.
The Assistant Director of Football Creative Video will report to the Football Creative Director. The position will collaborate with football recruiting operations to coordinate and produce content to support the program’s recruiting efforts with a primary focus to inspire recruits, fans and donors to action. This position oversees Football creative multimedia interns.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Providing exemplary customer service to internal and external constituencies..
Serving as video director for Football
Facilitating the planning, creation and timely production of video for UVA Football websites and social media, digital advertisements, and other materials.
Assisting in the daily management of student interns.
Collaborating with external operations areas on Football creative special projects.
Capturing and producing videos to support overall content.
Other duties as assigned by the Football Creative Director.
This is a restricted term position with an anticipated end date one year from the start date. Continuation in the position will be evaluated annually. The anticipated salary range for this position is $35,000-45,000 annually.

A Bachelor's degree with a major/minor in Video Production, Graphic Design, Communications, Multimedia, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Prior experience producing quality video and graphic design in a professional setting.
Experience utilizing Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite (or related video production and graphic design software).
Ability to utilize standard principles of professional video design.
Ability to convey information, and/or plans clearly in written format.
Ability to demonstrate knowledge in graphic design, sports terminology, sports writing, photo editing, and video editing.
Ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills in interactions with all UVA and Athletics Department staff, outside community including fans, visitors, the press, prospective students, parents, and other constituencies.
Must possess strong organizational skills and the ability to supervise staff.
Ability to present a professional demeanor and maintain confidentiality while delivering a high level of internal and external customer service.
Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations in regard to recruiting practices.
Advanced knowledge of computers and software: Microsoft Office, Adobe Product Suite (including Photoshop), Adobe After Effects and/or other compositing and graphic design software preferred.
