Head Coach - Swimming & Diving
Malone University
Reporting to the Director of Athletics, the Head Coach is responsible for recruiting, developing, fund-raising and managing a team of student athletes to successfully compete on the behalf of the University. The role of the Head Coach at Malone University directly supports the foundational principles and educational goals of the University in a way that enhances the student experience. She/he is called to make Christ known within their team, through outreach in the church and community, and in service to others.

Direct all phases of the specified Malone University athletic team. Maintain the agreed upon minimum Roster/Squad size and scholarship budget. Organize team meetings and communication. Develop coaching philosophy statement and ministry plan for the program. Coordinate and prepare all practice and competition schedules, including conference and non-conference competition. Supervise all recruiting activities. Fund-raising in compliance with Malone Advancement guidelines to supplement extra expenditures. This may include summer camps, clinics, or other direct contact with community sources such as businesses, or alumni. Specific goals for competition, fund-raising, recruiting and student athlete success, including academic and graduation rates to be determined in collaboration with Director of Athletics. Strong commitment to diversity, high moral character, academic distinction and acknowledged athletic proficiency. Provide competitive learning environment which facilitates the development of Christ-like character, self-discipline and full potential.
