Bloomfield College, Bloomfield, NJ, an NCAA Division II institution and member of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference, is seeking applications for the position of Compliance Coordinator. This is a 12month position serving 250+ student athletes. Under the direction of the Athletic Director, the Compliance Coordinator will be responsible for all aspects of Bloomfield's compliance program, CACC, and NCAA Division II rules and regulations.
Job Description: The person in this role will administer the following responsibilities. -Certifies the initial eligibility of student-athletes, including transfer students, by working with the NCAA Eligibility Center. -Verifies the amateurism status of each incoming student in conjunction with the NCAA Eligibility Center. -Processes and certifies the continuing eligibility of current and continuing student athletes. -Provides rules and regulations to student athletes, coaches, and other campus staff regarding conference and NCAA rules and regulations. -Ensures compliance by assuming responsibility for filing all NCAA certification forms, squad list forms, drug consent forms, student-athlete statements, and any other mandated reports. -Primary liaison for the Office of Admissions, Financial Aid, and the Office of the Registrar. -Creates and coordinates the National Letter of Intent. -Performs other job-related duties and special projects as assigned by the Director of Athletics.
-A Bachelors Degree is required but a Masters is preferred.
-At least two years in Athletics, preferably at the Division II level. A demonstrated knowledge of NCAA rules and compliance issues in intercollegiate athletics is required.
-Strong organizational, interpersonal, and verbal/written communication skills is a must. Must have excellent computer skills with the ability to learn compliance software.
-Must be able to work in and contribute to a fast-paced, high energy NCAA Division II athletics office.
