North Dakota State University, an NCAA Division I institution, and member of the Summit League, seeks applicants for a 2-year Graduate Assistant - Marketing and Fan Engagement. This position is for a total of two (2) years beginning July 1, 2021 to May 31, 2023. This 2-year position includes a tuition waiver and a stipend of $1,000 per month, no benefits included.
Graduate Assistants report to the Assistant Director of Athletics-Marketing and Fan Engagement with the goal of using marketing and promotional strategies to generate revenue, increase attendance, and engage fans in a collegiate environment. This person must be willing and able to work daily office hours and nights and weekends throughout the academic school year.

Responsibilities and opportunities may include, but are not limited to:
Assisting the marketing staff with developing and implementing marketing and sales plans for assigned sports with a focus on increasing overall attendance, student attendance and revenue.
Preparing all aspects of game-day production and promotions.
Full oversight of assigned Olympic sports.
Assisting with football game-day activities.
Assisting with community outreach.
Assisting in overseeing student intern staff.
Overseeing the Junior Bison Club.
Overseeing mascot requests.
Helping coordinate events that coincide with athletic events and all NDSU Athletics marketing efforts.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, public relations or a related field.
Currently enrolled or accepted into the NDSU Graduate School by Fall 2021.
Ability to effectively communicate through written, oral, and electronic forms.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Photoshop).
Minimum of one year experience working in a collegiate athletics department, preferably in marketing.
Strong desire to pursue a career in intercollegiate or professional athletics marketing.
Self-motivation, positive attitude, strong work ethic, outgoing personality and ability to deal with people in multiple settings and varied backgrounds.
Ability to develop and initiate unique ideas and work independently with multiple deadline driven projects.
