Kansas Athletics is seeking a Boathouse Manager (Rigger) for our Women's Rowing team. Ideally, we are looking for someone who is a "jack of all trades" when it comes to facility operations, maintenance, and equipment. We will provide training and continued professional development. This person will manage the Boathouse facility operation, rig boats for competitions home and away, prepare all equipment (oars, shells, motors, trailers, ergometers, etc.), and coordinate building security and custodial needs.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent;
Knowledge of and experience with trailer towing;
Basic knowledge of inventory control;
Ability to lift 100 – 125 pounds;
Valid driver’s license;
Ability to problem solve and work independently;
High comfort level with lakes and rivers;
Ability to work an irregular work schedule including evenings and weekends;
Ability to travel;
Successful completion of a background and driving record check.
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university;
Experience with fiberglass/carbon fiber repairs;
Ability to perform various duties related to carpentry, mechanical repair, and detail painting;
Prior rowing experience.
Employer will assist with relocation costs.
