Army West Point Athletic Association (AWPAA) seeks candidates for an Assistant Director of Football Video Operations who is committed to excellence and will provide support to the Football coaching staff and players with regard to practice and game footage, the creation of social media content, and material for recruiting. The position will help recruit, train, and oversee interns and Cadet volunteers, and will play a pivotal role in training staff with video editing systems. This role will report directly to the Director of Football Video and Analytics.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
40% Content Creation: Executes the shooting, editing, and creation of motivational videos. Creates, or directs the creation of, video requests such as weekly instructional videos for coaches, social media content, and individual player highlights.
30% Media Production: Works with supervisor on the creative development and execution of all highlight videos. Will work with the appropriate personnel to ensure all content is compliant with AWPAA and the United States Military Academy (USMA) policies. Coordinates with applicable gameday network producers to gather necessary content material.
15% Recruiting Support: Coordinates directly with the Player Personnel department to provide video support during official and unofficial visits, junior days, and any other recruiting event. Will assist with the production of any content needed for direct messaging to recruits.
10% Intern and Volunteer Management: Incumbent will work directly with their supervisor on oversight of interns and Cadet volunteers. Will delegate tasks accordingly to ensure the mission of the department is successfully accomplished. Identify strengths amongst the volunteers/interns and cultivate them accordingly. Provide insight on gameday volunteer staffing to ensure an exceptional outcome.
5% All other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's Degree required.
Minimum of 3 years of working within a similar role.
Must possess experience in working with Sony and Panasonic cameras. A basic understanding of PTZ cameras and remote camera systems is preferred.
Working knowledge of XOS Thunder Systems.
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe Premiere, and After Effects.
Knowledge of Photoshop, and both Windows and Mac operating systems is required.
