Olympic Pharmacy and Healthcare Services is looking for an Assistive Technology Practitioner (ATP) who will be responsible for supporting the Rehabilitation & Sales Departments in the day to day operations of the business. Assignments will include a variety of tasks involving the sale and service of rehabilitation equipment or commercially available assistive technology products or devices for consumers with disabilities.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Evaluate clients for their needs with assistive technology and equipment
Work with doctors, physical/occupational therapists, assistive technology professionals in the evaluation and procurement of DME
Calls customer to setup appointments for job orders and final fitting.
Ensures all customer and billing information is correct.
Attend in-store meetings.
Perform other duties as deemed appropriate by management.
Maintain competency on all equipment.
Abide by the Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice as set forth by RESNA (The Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America).
Maintain the credentials for Assistive Technology Practitioner (ATP)
Projects a positive first impression of Home Medical by greeting customers in a friendly professional manner and directing them to the appropriate staff.
An expert in rehabilitation equipment and assistive technology
Been clinically involved with rehabilitation equipment for more than two years
Able to function as a polite and cooperative team member with a positive attitude.
Good computer/keyboarding skills preferred.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Able to maintain confidentiality of information exposed to.
Qualifications - Physical:
In an average 8-hour day the employee lifts/carries up to 10 pounds frequently.
In an average 8-hour day the employee stands/walks 7 hours.
In an average 8-hour day the employee sits 1 hour. (These hours include up to 7 hours of data entry/phone work)
In an average 8-hour day the employee drives 3-4 hours.
The employee often lifts/carries up to 70 lbs. maximum.
Must be clean & neat in personal appearance.
