Fidelity's Wholesale Sales team has significant experience and a strong reputation in the Australian adviser market. The team's primary purpose is to achieve strong net new sales of Fidelity's solutions (Managed Funds and ETF's) through various key channels including Banks and Financial Institutions, Wealth Management companies, Independent Financial Advisers and Stockbrokers. This is to be achieved whilst advocating the core credentials of Fidelity as a broad based, global asset manager. Central to the success of this function is the development of strong diverse ratings and shelf space for Fidelity funds, broad approved product status for our funds, and quality Model Portfolio and Managed Account representation. Understanding that long-term, commercially balanced relationships with clients, supported by strong product and technical knowledge, will convert to sustainable support for our products is crucial. This team is continually developing value-add support that results in client advancement, improved engagement, and better business outcomes.
Purpose of your role
The Sales Associate is responsible for assisting the Sales Managers in planning and execution of various tasks to support achievement of sales targets. This will include making initial appointments for Sales Managers and completing post-meeting follow up, and being the first point of contact for Adviser queries (phone and email) to ensure the effective handling of incoming calls. The Sales Associate will facilitate events, prepare presentations and other sales tools, and provide timely reporting on sales. The primary focus of the Sales Associate is to enable the sales team to increase their engagement with clients, both existing and prospects.
Provide Sales support in a timely manner to local Regional Sales Managers and National Sales Manager. This will include:
Making appointments with current and prospective clients, including but not limited to financial advisers, stockbrokers, dealer group and platform staff;
Assisting with appointment co-ordination and preparation;
Preparation of presentations and other sales tools (in conjunction with Investments/Sales/Marketing as required);
Timely resolution of action items from sales activities by members of the distribution teams, working with internal stakeholders (eg Client Services, Marketing, Investments) to source and present required material;
Preparation of competitor analysis and requested data from the Morningstar Direct system;
Preparation of cashflow reports, and supporting analysis to generate insights and targeted activity;
Identification of prospects, and coordinated diary management aligned to specific sales campaigns; and
End-to-end management of local client events e.g. T20's
Work with the broader team on client segmentation and engagement
Assist in the prioritisation of initiatives and working with the Head of Wholesale Sales to direct activity and focus
Drive efficiencies through the sales support functions
