Louisiana Tech University, a Division 1 FBS member of Conference USA is seeking applications for the position of Assistant Athletic Director – Internal Operations. This is a full-time, 12-month position. A Bachelor’s degree is required and related work experience, preferably in collegiate athletics. Salary: $42-45,000 The Assistant Athletic Director - Internal Operations will report to the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Competitive Excellence. The Assistant Athletic Director – Internal Operations will work with various other units within the Athletic Department and university staff in any capacity required to ensure all athletics events and facilities operate in a safe, professional, and well-organized manner, and ensure all areas of the Athletic Department demonstrate a commitment to maintaining compliance with NCAA, C-USA, Louisiana Tech University, and the State of Louisiana rules and regulations. Responsibilities of this position are as follows: 1) Oversee the event management of all home athletic contests. 2) Oversee the event management of all university and outside events held at athletic facilities. 3) Coordinate all event management meetings associated with events being held in athletic facilities. 4) Oversee the maintenance of all equipment, structures, and grounds of the Athletic Department. 5) Assist supervisor with capital projects. 6) Supervise graduate interns, student employees, and athletic facility staff. In addition, duties will include coordinating and working with other university employees that assist with athletic events including Police, Grounds, Custodial, and Catering, preparing requisitions for all materials and supplies needed for upkeep of athletic facilities and grounds, planning for and scheduling routine painting, repairing, and replacement of equipment, inventory, and athletic facilities, and managing the state property inventory of athletics. The Assistant Athletic Director – Internal Operations will work directly with C-USA on all matters pertaining to game and event management and additionally would be asked to serve on various department, institution and conference committees. Other responsibilities will be required as assigned by the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Competitive Excellence. This position will also serve on the senior staff of the Director of Athletics. Candidate must have proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
