The Drury University Department of Athletics invites applications in a national search for the new position of Associate Athletics Director for Non-NCAA Sports. Drury is adding seven non-NCAA sports (i.e. club sports) to its current offering of six non-NCAA sports and 22 NCAA Division II sports. The seven new club sports will be men’s and women’s lacrosse, men’s and women’s rugby, men’s ice hockey, STUNT and men’s triathlon.
This full-time position is responsible for oversight of club sports within the Athletics Department. More specifically, this position is responsible for the supervision of club sport head coaches; coordination of prospective student-athlete recruitment and financial aid packaging for club sport student-athletes with head coaches and the Enrollment Management Department to meet revenue goals; oversight of non-NCAA sport budgets; organization and implementation of club sport home competitions/events in coordination with other athletics department staff; fulfillment of all athletics media relations duties for club sports; oversight of compliance with applicable club sport governing body rules; marketing and promotions of club sport home competitions as necessary; coordination of ticket sales for club sports as necessary, and coordination of sponsorships and development activities for club sports with other athletics department staff as necessary. While housed in the Athletics Department, this position will have an integrated and collaborative reporting structure with Executive VP of Student Affairs, Executive VP of Enrollment, the Athletics Director and the President. The individual must have an athletics philosophy that values the educational and personal well-being of club sport student-athletes through their integration into the student body while emphasizing the university and athletics department mission, vision, core values and culture.

A bachelor’s degree is required and at least two years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
