The UC Davis Department of Intercollegiate Athletics (ICA) in partnership with the Associated Students, University of California, and Davis (ASUCD) has established a number of new full-time staff positions that will be referred to as, ICA & ASUCD Fellowships. These positions will be available to recent UC Davis graduates who aspire to work within Intercollegiate Athletics and meet the qualifications as outlined in the following job description
Under close supervision of the Assistant Director, Marketing, help execute sales and promotional plans with the goal of increasing student, fan and community engagement for UC Davis' 25-sport intercollegiate athletics programs.
Assist in facilitating partnership opportunities on campus and in the community including student and staff based promotions, work with local organizations in Davis, Woodland and Dixon to have presence at events such as farmers markets and fairs. Work football and basketball game days as well as promotional days for our Olympic sports and community events. Assist in planning and executing our Junior Aggie program. Serve as a coordinator with UC Davis Cheer, Band, and Dance teams.
Lead student marketing intern program to recruit up to 40 student volunteers to assist with event planning and execution including oversight of our mascot program.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (primarily Word and Excel).
Strong familiarity with the most common social media platforms.
Background in customer service.
Experience with such programs as Adobe Creative Suite (e.g. InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat, and Illustrated).
Graduate from UC Davis within the last year.
