Reporting to the Assistant AD-Communications, this position will serve as a Communications Assistant in the athletics communications department. This position is primary responsible for the publicity and media relations duties of their assigned sports. Those duties include game recaps, media guides/record books, website maintenance, press releases, statistical record-keeping and game day operations.
Communications Assistant will also assist with the creation of content for social media which includes but is not limited to graphics, gifs, copy, and other related content initiatives.
Other duties include the promotion of assigned sports to local/national media, assist with the creation of social media content and fulfill game day roles at volleyball, baseball, men’s basketball, and women’s basketball games as assigned and other duties as assigned by the Assistant AD-Communications.
