In accordance with the mission of the Department of Athletics, manages the trademark licensing and merchandising functions of the department within the guidelines of the NCAA, the BIG EAST Conference, and DePaul University.
Responsibilities & Duties
Research, design, implement and manage trademark licensing and merchandising programs and vendors to maximize revenue-generating opportunities within the Athletics department. Identify market potential by collaborating with licensing professionals, establishing pricing strategies, and developing promotional programs and activities in the areas of student organizations, season ticket holders, University faculty/staff, and DePaul University alumni. Analyze existing licensees including distribution channels, product categories, inventories, trends, placements, and royalties to ensure prominent visibility and availability in the market and increased revenues. Provide regular oversight, revenue reporting, and business insights to senior leadership on merchandise and licensing partners. Enhance and protect the DePaul Athletics name, brand, and reputation by reviewing and approving all artwork submissions and new license requests, adhering to policies and procedures. Serve as a resource for brand identity and logo development. Responsible for university policy on Licensing University Trademarks and serves on Fair Business Practices Committee. Serve on the senior staff team which involves strategic planning for the department, representing the department at athletics events, fundraising, game management duties, and administrative functions. Knowledge of and adherence to all NCAA rules, policies, and procedures pertaining to the trademark licensing, merchandising, and corporate sponsorship functions of the department. Attend and participate in monthly NCAA rules compliance meetings. Serve on the senior staff team which involves strategic planning for the department, representing the department at athletics events, fundraising, game management duties, and administrative functions. Performs other duties as assigned. Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree. 5-10 years related experience, preferably at the NCAA Division I level. Preferred Requirements

Responsible for meeting/exceeding trademark licensing and merchandise revenue budgets on an annual basis. Other Skills & Abilities Required
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to learn new systems. Strong analytical capabilities, initiative, and ability to work well within a team. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Demonstrated experience in working in a diverse urban and/or intercollegiate athletics environment. Dedication to serving the department, the University and the student-athletes with the highest level of leadership, initiative and integrity. Working knowledge of NCAA, BIG EAST Conference, and University rules and regulations as they apply to intercollegiate athletics.
