The Assistant Director of Women’s Basketball Operations & Student-Athlete Development would provide support to many vital areas within the women’s basketball program. In addition to supporting the Director of Operations with duties around team travel, recruiting visits, equipment, and budget planning, this position would also be deeply involved in program and engagement around student-athletes development. Finally, this position would provide support to the coaches and staff around summer camp, competition, travel, alumni and donor engagement and other areas as deemed necessary by the head coach.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 1. Assist Head Coach in event planning related to alumni, donor and community events 2. Assist Director of Basketball Operations with all duties relating to team travel, meals on and off campus, recruiting visits, Jordan Brand equipment, manager program, and budget planning 3. Assist in game day operations related to ticketing, marketing, donor & alumni 4. Create and enhance programming related to student-athlete development in topics directed by the Head Coach & Director of Basketball Operations 5. Lead organizer of daily operations within the basketball office related to equipment, p-card, training tables and other duties as assigned 6. Assist Creative Director with all social media platforms as it relates to student-athletes, head coach and recruiting 7. Assist in planning, organizing and executing summer camps 8. Active working hours during home games, road games, alumni/fan events, team activities on and off campus, community service events, photoshoot, unofficial & official visit planning 9. Perform other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested by Head Coach and/or staff.
• Bachelors’ degree required. • 2-3 years of related experience required. • Possesses qualities of hard working, doing all necessary tasks required throughout a college basketball season • A team player with a growth mindset. • Ability to take feedback appropriately • Innovative thinker with new ideas • Displays positive attitude and sets a great example for women’s basketball student-athletes. • Strong communication skills • Must be able to work hours during home games, road games, alumni/fan events, team activities on and off campus, community service events, photoshoot, unofficial & official visit planning
Additional Salary Information: This position is a full-time, hourly position.
