The U.S. Consumer Bank (USCB) Regional Sales Manager - Citi At Work will lead a team of sales professionals with the objective of promoting and selling the Citi At Work workplace banking program to select corporate clients. This program will be offered to the employees of corporations and feature a compelling, digitally-led value proposition designed to grow primary new Citi Consumer Bank clients across retail banking, lending, cards, mortgage and investments. The Citi At Work program will be delivered digitally at the work place and require business to business sales to executive level managers within the targeted corporations.
Recruit, hire and directly manage a team of relationship managers who sell and deliver the Citi At Work program to corporate clients within the U.S.
Responsible for setting sales objectives, monitoring performance and coaching the sales team
Accountable for achieving or exceeding the sales goals, inclusive of new customer accounts and revenue growth
Lead the team of relationship managers in calling on large corporate clients to drive expansion of Citi At Work program; primary points of contact will be Heads of HR, Director of Benefits and other senior level executives
Partner with coverage teams from the Institutional Client Group (ICG) to identify prospects and jointly call on companies within various industries, segments and geographies
Manage a pipeline of sales activities to drive successful acquisition of new corporate clients for the program
Develop the sales team through joint-calling, show-coaching, and mentoring activities to continually improve the quality of the sales activities
Understand and keep abreast of industry trends and competitive landscape
Support new market expansion activities for the Retail bank
Responsible for reporting sales activities and results to senior management team on a regular basis
Provide feedback to Program Management team related to program delivery and process improvement
10+ years relevant sales and sales management experience
Strong track record of success in leading sales teams with a focus on selling to companies/corporations
Direct experience in sales and sales management within financial services industry preferred
Demonstrated ability to drive the sales process from plan to successful close
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, presentation skills and professional demeanor
Effective team player - ability to lead and partner with other areas and lines of business within Citi
Excellent coaching, management and leadership skills
Strong senior level network across Citi lines of business
Strong knowledge of consumer product set across U.S. Consumer Banking at Citi
Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred in Business Administration or related field
Expected travel within the U.S. to meet with clients, sales teams and partners; potential of 60% travel (normal business conditions)
