The Compliance/Business intern will assist with compliance responsibilities that include, but are not limited to, monitoring of countable athletically related activities (CARA), recruiting logs, travel logs, and other recruiting, compliance, and roster management related matters. Additionally, the intern will assist in developing education materials for coaches, student-athletes and other constituents on campus to ensure NCAA and A-10 rules and processes are communicated correctly. There will be an opportunities to learn and observe more advanced compliance responsibilities and gain experience in written interpretations, waivers, and violations. The Compliance/Business intern will also assist the athletics business office with business responsibilities that include, but are not limited to, monitoring mandatory training programs for coaches, staff, and administration, assisting with the cash distribution program, and other business related matters. There will be an opportunities to learn and observe more advanced business office responsibilities and gain experience in financial aid and other NCAA Bylaw 15 matters.

• Bachelor’s Degree; • Administrative and organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy, • Strong written communication skills; • Proficiency in Microsoft programs, • Ability to work independently, • Possess a valid driver’s license and maintains a low risk driving record and is insurable by the University.
• One year’s experience in NCAA compliance at the university or conference level, or at the NCAA national office; • Expert in Microsoft programs; • Experience in accounting or finance; • A former NCAA student athlete; • Advanced Degree; • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, trust, and confidentiality with coaches and staff; • Experience using JumpForward software, LSDBi, RSRO, and/or Compliance Assistant
