POSITION PURPOSE Lakeland University, a NCAA Division III member of the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference in Plymouth, Wis., is seeking an individual for the position of Sports Information Graduate Assistant. The position is a 12-month appointment for two years, beginning in August 2021.

A successful candidate will assist the Sports Information Director with coverage, promotion, and publicity of Lakeland's varsity sports.
Responsibilities also include:
•Keeping in-game statistics
•Producing publications including game programs and brochures
•Writing press releases, games stories, and game previews
•Managing content of Lakeland's athletics website
•Producing video and graphic content, including highlight videos and interviews
•Assisting in management of Lakeland's athletics social media accounts

•Bachelor's degree and acceptance into the Lakeland University graduate school program are required.
•Experience in journalism, public relations or a related field preferred.
•Ability to assist in game day operations at many of Lakeland's home events, which includes nights, weekends
•Must have an acceptable driving record for some travel required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
•Demonstrated significant sports knowledge;
•Ability to effectively manage time and priorities;
•Ability to prioritize office workflow and make effective administrative decisions to increase efficiency, accuracy, and productivity;
•Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) along with strong editing capabilities;
•Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word) or similar products;
•Experience in Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop
•Previous use of Stat Crew statistical software is preferred;
•Demonstrates organizational ability, and attention to detail and accuracy;
•Aid in managing student staff.
