DIRECTOR OF CORPORATE SALES FULL TIME BENEFITTTED 40 HOURS PER WEEK; MAY INCLUDE NIGHTS AND WEEKENDS ANNUAL SALARY: $65,000 FLSA STATUS: EXEMPT
*Fiscal year renewal position to end on or before 6/30/2022 with a possibility of a renewal on an annual basis if program needs exist.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Director, Corporate Sales for Athletics oversees Cal State Fullerton’s athletics corporate sales functions. Responsibilities include developing and managing corporate marketing partnerships, creating a high volume of new business, while building and maintaining relationships with existing corporate partners.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Identify prospects in key open and new categories as prospective new business leads. • Partner with external relations team to develop custom activation programs through existing and new Titan Athletics’ assets to address prospects marketing goals and business initiatives while extending internal objectives. • Develop customized proposals and sales presentations for new and existing business prospects. • Negotiate sponsor contracts in direct consultation with the Senior Associate Athletic Director. • Renew and grow existing corporate and media partnerships through continued customer service while upselling additional assets into current partnership agreements. • Work closely with external team to achieve property goals while meeting personal sales and account management objectives. • Work game days, weekends, and special events to entertain existing partners and new business prospects. EDUCATION Bachelor’s Degree preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Prolonged sitting in front of computer. Walking, talking, hearing, pulling, bending, may carry 10-15 pounds of objects/material, not exposed to extreme noise level, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands or arms, stoop, kneel, taste or smell.

QUALIFICATIONS • Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor’s in marketing or related field of study. • Experience in a corporate sales/marketing position. • Experience in strategic planning, execution, and management. • Experience in planning corporate marketing strategies, creating comprehensive proposals for potential clients, and appropriate price setting of asset portfolio. • Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Powerpoint, Excel).
