Position Overview The Bobcat Ticket Office (BTO) sits in the hottest event venue in Montana (Brick Breeden Fieldhouse). The Assistant Director of Ticket Operations is a member of a two person team responsible for annual ticket sales estimated $8 million for events ranging from MSU Bobcat Football, to Broadway in Bozeman, and other special events and concerts.
The Director and Assistant Director collaboratively oversee and supervise all human and physical resources of the operation while actively working to maintain a financially healthy organization.
Duties & Responsibilities
Coordinate and liaison with TicketsWest, Bobcat Athletics, Bobcat Sports Properties and outside clients to provide ticketing and other associate services. (sample of events — Bobcat football including playoffs, the Broadway in Bozeman series, and all major events in the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse.
Ensure the health of BTO’s financials by properly reconciling cash bags, producing financial reports, correctly depositing monies across numerous accounts, and responsibly managing all department assets.
Manage and train student and temporary staff of estimated 40 ticket sellers.
Actively sell tickets and promptly manage customer issues in order to provide the best possible customer service.
Act as the IT functional lead for the computerized ticketing system.
Maintain and grow BTO’s social media presence.
Perform as the marketing manager and work with promoters and artists to publicize events.
Maintain and ensure compliance with all Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, Montana State University, Big Sky Conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.
Keep abreast on all ADA laws that impact ticketing.
Actively participates as a member of the team while performing other duties in support of the department’s mission.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Marketing or a related field plus progressively responsible experience in the customer service industry or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
Experience supervising a diverse staff.
Experience with cash handling and general accounting.
Proficient experience using computers and various software packages.
Experience managing a ticket office in an entertainment, sports, or university setting.
Experience working peripheral electronic devices associated with ticketing systems.
Experience using social media to achieve marketing objectives.
An understanding of NCAA rules and regulations as they relate to ticketing is highly preferred.
Demonstrated experience/familiarity with Paciolan ticketing software.
