East Tennessee State University seeks a qualified applicant for a graduate assistant or internship position with the ETSU men’s golf team coaching staff. The position will report to the head coach and is responsible for assisting the coach in the day to day operations of the program. RESPONSIBILITIES: •Assist the Head Coach with all phases of administering a Division I program. •Evaluate and identify prospective student-athletes and coordinate recruiting schedules. •Assist with planning and implementation of daily practice sessions. •Assist head coach with team travel, including hotel arrangements and transportation. •Help maintain the Warren-Greene Golf facility whenever needed •Perform various office duties including maintaining files and completing required documentations on ARMS software •Handles uniform and equipment maintenance and inventory •Attend team workouts and communicate with Strength and conditioning staff •Operates within the mission of the University and athletics department to ensure a full NCAA DI student-athlete experience. •Follows all institutional, SoCon and NCAA regulations regarding men’s golf and athletics in general. •Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor’s degree • Admission to a Graduate Program at ETSU (if applying for graduate assistant spot) • Playing experience and/or coaching experience on a competitive collegiate level is preferred • Must possess extensive knowledge of the sport • Knowledge of intercollegiate athletics, rules and regulations of athletic associations and conferences. • CPR/First Aid Certified (or ability to obtain certification) SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: • Candidate must possess a valid driver’s license, pass the NCAA recruiting test and a required background check. The position requires evening and weekend work with varied hours
Additional Salary Information: If hired as a Graduate assistant, an annual stipend of $7,200 (A 9-month contract renewable for two years.)

If hired as an hourly Intern, you will receive annual compensation of $14,300
