Plan, organize, prioritize and monitor workflow of the client broker representatives. Lead, develop, train and evaluate employees to ensure the team is adequately supported, clients and brokers are satisfied, company goals are met, group implementations are implemented appropriately and timely and all Sales and Service processes are adequately supported. Ensure that sales representatives are adequately supported.
Supervise the assignment, and distribution of all sales support tasks and group implementations.
Work with inside sales management team, including regional managers, immediate manager and vice president, to establish best practices for the entire department.
Co-manage various teams and functions in inside sales operations, including the document team, sales coordinator team, administrative support and continuing education for the sales division.
Ensure consistent, accurate and timely processing of group implementation.
Develop, maintain and monitor unit standards, processes and procedures to ensure efficient, accurate and measurable processing of group information.
Work with clients, brokers and staff on escalated issues.
Represent the department on corporate and divisional projects as needed; communicate impacts and work with management to develop solutions.
Coordinate and administer training to ensure all employees receive appropriate information/instruction.
Manage and develop performance of direct reports; provide prompt and objective coaching and counseling; conduct performance reviews and recommend salary increases.
Participate in the hiring and interviewing process for open positions within the unit ensuring that the most qualified candidates are selected.
With general assistance from manager, develop and manage department budget.
Typically has the following skills or abilities:
Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in a business-related environment.
Minimum of 2 years of functional experience.
Excellent customer service, written and oral communication skills.
Excellent analytical, problem solving, and negotiation skills.
Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Collaborative leadership style
Strong business partner relationship building skills
Continued process improvement
