The successful candidate for the Associate role will work in the Equity Capital Markets team within the Global Banking team in New York. The successful candidate's primary responsibility will be to work with and support the team in originating and executing transactions across a range of equity and equity-linked products.
Impact on the Business
Providing client-facing input on pitch materials as part of the origination and execution across equity and equity-linked products, across all industry sectors across the Americas
Liaising with Global Markets teams in sales, research and trading to deliver capital markets advice to our corporate clients
Creating and interpreting financial models and involvement in transaction structuring
Day to day project management role in transaction processes, liaising both internally with other teams within HSBC as well as with clients and other advisors externally
Frequent interaction with the investment banking team, industry sector banking teams, and other capital markets teams in other regions
Keep abreast of latest happenings in the product area and keep the relevant stakeholders informed with regular market and transaction updates

Internally: GB ECM & ELCM Bankers, other product and sector teams and coverage bankers
Externally: GB clients, selected CMB clients across the sectors
Operational Effectiveness & Control:
Follow GBM Compliance procedures and guidance, completes compliance / risk and control related on-going training and assessments before the due dates
Understand and ensure compliance with, all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which the jobholder is involved.
