Complies fully with all NCAA, Big Ten (or other conference) and Indiana University rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
Failure to do so may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.
Serves as a liaison with other staff in the areas of Sports
Assists with operational aspects of the sports program such as team travel arrangements, practice times, and equipment maintenance; may organize the student-athlete walk-on program, sports clinics, and summer camps.
Seasonal driver of team bus to and from practice as well as driving team trailer to regattas.
Specific department responsibilities:
Oversees the maintenance, repair and rigging of all rowing related equipment . Assist with the installation and removal of the 2000m regatta race course as well the work that goes into hosting all home regattas. Oversee the general operation and care of the rowing boathouse, docks and ergometer rooms.
High school diploma or GED.
4 years of experience with experience with intercollegiate program support.
Combinations of education and related experience will be considered.
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS
Possess a valid driver’s license with the ability to be insured by Indiana University.
Possess or obtain upon hire Valid Indiana Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class “B” with a Passenger and Air Brake endorsement. IU will pay for licensure and training if necessary if the candidate does not have this license.
