The Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children Director of Marketing and Communications reports to the hospital CEO and the Division AVP of Marketing. This individual also sits on the hospital’s Administrative Leadership team playing a critical role in representing the voice of our customer, as well as serving as the lead hospital communicator/spokesperson both internally and externally.
Develops HealthONE system-wide pediatric marketing and communication initiatives in concert with division objectives for growth. Oversees and directs internal communications, website, social media, events, media relations, community relations, and other communications related to RMHC.
Supports development of annual growth and reputation plan to synchronize with Division-developed paid media plan for the hospital/market. Drives our community and customer engagement to heighten our positive reputation within the community. Develops organic content (written, web, video) via tight connectivity with key service line leaders and physicians to drive digital conversions. Leverages this content to create dynamic materials, messaging, events and forums that will positively engage the community to choose this facility. Measures success of all activities in order to refine and adjust as needed. Operates smoothly in a fast-paced, high-intensity matrix environment.
This position supports the mission of Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children (RMHC) to care for children and their families with compassion, pediatric expertise and innovation. Our patient-focused environment welcomes them with genuine hospitality and includes the child’s primary care physician in treatment decisions. We care for children from conception, through infancy and into young adulthood with medical excellence and a comprehensive approach unmatched in the Rocky Mountain region.

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field, required.
5-7 years’ experience in marketing & public relations for healthcare or related field.
3+ years management experience.
Pediatric hospital experience required.
Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills. Proven problem solver and creative thinker. Flexible and able to adapt to change. Management and supervisory skills. Able to effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines. Available for weekend, evening and holiday on-call coverage. Competent in computer skills including word processing, desktop publishing and spreadsheet applications
