The Director of Game Production is an integral part of the Louisville Athletics marketing team. They are responsible for the execution of professional-level game production, in-game content, and fan experiences, for football and men's and women's basketball, as well as setting the standard for consistency and look and feel of all UofL athletic events. This position will report to the Assistant Athletic Director of Fan Experience.
Gameday Videoboard Production of Football and Men's and Women's Basketball. Includes:
Work with Assistant of Athletic Director of Fan Experience on all aspects of game production for Football and Men's and Women's Basketball, and as the Lead Game Producer for assigned
Load and organize content for LED videoboards at Cardinal Stadium and KFC Yum! Center
Scripting and run-of-show production
Ensure all Learfield sponsor content is approved, loaded and executed on game days
Work with Daktronics and ANC to troubleshoot any issues
Utilize Shoflo scripting software to produce game run of show and scripts
Creation of graphics through Adobe Photoshop
Direct communication with staff on field or court to run promotions and halftime
Work directly with Broadcast Center to provide timely content for games, as well as concept new ideas and execution for gameday
Coordinate planning and execution of "Car Wash" media days
Olympic Sports Game Production includes:
Create cohesive videoboard look across all venues and sports
Assist with planning and execution of "Car Wash" media days
Creative brainstorming with marketing and creative services for video and in-game atmosphere ideas
Train interns in best practices for game production, including scripting, run of show, headset protocol etc.
UofL Athletic Events includes:
Oversight of all Louisville athletic department events (non-game), including kickoff/tipoff luncheons, Hall of Fame, Louies Student-Athlete Awards Show, Louisville Live, donor events, and others as needed
Create or oversee all content for events
Coordinate with external AV vendors for content delivery and execution
Bachelor's degree in sports administration, business, marketing, communications or related field and at least 4 years of related experience producing collegiate or professional sporting events. Experience loading and running video board systems. Effective interpersonal and communication skills. Competency in Adobe Photoshop. Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays. Grade EG. Salary Minimum $48,421.
Direct experience producing high level college or professional sport events from a game production perspective - including producing run of show, writing scripts, creating content, concepting theme nights and content, and calling games on headset "from the chair"
Experience in Adobe Premiere and/or After Effects
Experience loading and running Daktronics, ANC videoboard systems
Previous work experience in intensive, fast-paced environments
Demonstrated experience working both independently and in team environment
