Incumbent will provide secretarial and administrative assistance to members of the athletic administration and selected sports to be assigned by the Athletic Director. Currently the sports include: Softball, Women's Golf, Athletic Training and the Senior Associate Athletic Director. The incumbent will maintain the day to day office operations that include all general written correspondence, preparing payment authorization for purchases in each sport or administrative area, maintenance of all recruiting files and other associated daily operations of sports programs. Essential tasks include but are not limited to: team and coaches travel, recruiting correspondence, recruiting travel, maintaining coaches calendars; answering/screening all phone calls for sports, scheduling appointments, preparing bids and obtaining quotes for all team equipment and travel; requesting necessary funds for trips; booking modes of transportation and securing suitable hotels; reconciling accounts after travel and budgeting funds for operating and travel budgets for each assigned sport or department and perform other related tasks or special projects as assigned. Evening and weekend work associated with assigned teams or administrative areas will be required.
Required Education: High School diploma or High School Equivalency (HSE) required.
Required Related Experience: Three (3) years progressively responsible secretarial, clerical or administrative experience required. A bachelors degree will be accepted in lieu of the three (3) years of secretarial or administrative experience.
Desirable Related Experience: Prior experience in running an athletic office or a business office preferred. CAP/CPS preferred.
