The Pennsylvania State University invites applications for the position of Director of Compliance within the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and Office of Ethics and Compliance. This full-time administrative position reports to the Associate Athletics Director for Compliance and will assist with directing Penn State's athletics compliance program and managing all associated risks.
The Director of Compliance will coordinate all student-athlete educational initiatives, manage initial eligibility certification, playing and practice seasons, and will have significant involvement in the investigation and processing of rules violations. The successful candidate will also assist with compliance monitoring, processing waivers, the coordination of the orientation process, and compliance on-boarding of new coaches and staff, and will play a significant role in the overall rules education program that serves a broad constituent base. Applicants should have experience working in a Division I compliance operation.
Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree or Juris Doctorate and experience interpreting NCAA rules, monitoring compliance activities of athletics staff members, and educating a broad constituent base. Experience with the Advanced Retail Management Systems (ARMS) platform is also preferred.
