Assist the Director of Media Relations in the day-to-day operations of the NMSU Athletics Media Relations office; supervise, direct, delegate, and evaluate work of assigned staff; produce game notes, media guides, programs and releases; game day management.
Maintains, develops and enhances media relationships, writes news releases; researches and prepares background and briefing materials for interactions that university representatives have with the media. Works with the Director to identify news that support key university sports initiatives and messages and enhances and builds the image of the university sports through strategic media placements. May assist the director in management of specific functions of the unit. Performs other duties as assigned.
One (1) year of experience related to the standard duties as outlined.
Baseball & FBS Football Knowledge, FBS Football knowledge as either a secondary or tertiary contact.
Working kowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (ID,PS, BR)
Working knowledge of social media platforms (Twitter, Instagram, FB)
