ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensures accuracy and proper documentation and delivery of all sold items; reviews and analyzes data, develops strategies and procedures to improve Athletic Department revenues through Penguin Club, ticket, advertising, and auxiliary sales to assist department in meeting income operations goals; assists with marketing activities to increase Penguin Club memberships and revenue of all Penguin Club and YSU fundraising activities. Identifies, researches, and solicits corporate and business partnerships; serves as primary season and group ticket sales contact with emphasis on increasing ticket revenue and event attendance; ensures accuracy, proper documentation, and delivery of all activities; evaluates and assists in adjusting and/or revising marketing/ticket strategies to meet annual goals. Assists in developing a sales plan that maximizes revenue, increases fan attendance at Penguin Club events and YSU Athletic contests and enhances the Penguin Club and YSU brand. Assists with special revenue-generating events for the department and The Penguin Club; duties will vary by event and will include generation of income. Develop relationships with campus and community organizations to enhance attendance, awareness, and excitement for designated Penguin Club and athletic events. Assists in developing e-mails, social media postings, and promotional material to help enhance attendance, awareness, and excitement for designated Penguin Club and athletic events. Assists with some processing of payments for Penguin Club and Athletic Income using computerized ticketing and fund development system; ensures the accuracy of submitted payment forms appropriate deposits. Assists with athletic development initiatives as assigned. Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance. Meets all job safety requirements and all applicable OSHA safety standards that pertain to essential functions. OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Complies with all NCAA, conference, and institutional regulations, policies, and procedures Actively participates in public relation appearances and community services activities on behalf of the department. Develops appropriate documentation to comply with required audits. Participates on various University, conference, and national committees, and other special assignments. Assists with NCAA and conference championship events. Travels regularly to meet with prospective donors, sponsors, etc. Travels with intercollegiate athletic teams as assigned. Performs any and all other related duties as assigned or directed in order to promote, further, and ensure the effective operation of YSU.
Minimums: A bachelor’s degree and one year of related experience. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
