We are searching for a Trade Show Coordinator & Sales Professional to lead our face to face selling efforts at consumer and trade shows as well as provide inside sales and technical support. The successful candidate will have in-person and phone sales experience as well as experience traveling to, setting-up/tearing-down, and working a commercial display at trade and consumer shows in the automotive aftermarket and will contribute to Bed Wood’s success by representing Bed Wood in the restoration, classic, and late model truck segment of the automotive aftermarket. The Trade Show Coordinator & Sales Professional’s responsibilities include design, construction, and transportation of our commercial display(s) to various consumer and trade shows, sales and marketing efforts at the show, working with the Bed Wood Leadership Team to select and staff shows appropriately, and providing phone support to the sales team through inside sales efforts in between shows and events.
Trade Show Coordinator & Sales Professional Responsibilities:
Work with Management to vet and select commercial display opportunities in order to set and staff our annual show schedule.
Work with show promoters to secure booth space and other marketing opportunities.
Construct, transport, set-up and tear-down our commercial display at approximately 10 consumer and trade shows, annually.
Be the “face” of Bed Wood at these various automotive events through in-person sales and technical support.
Produce post-show reports detailing sales, participant attendance, trends within our target, and new business opportunities.
Research and call on existing and potential customers located in the region surrounding scheduled events.
See that all display and transport equipment is maintained and complies with all DOT regulations etc.
In between events and event preparation, provide in-office sales and technical phone support as a part of our inside sales team.
Perform other sales and marketing related tasks as assigned by the Bed Wood Leadership Team
Trade Show Coordinator & Sales Professional Requirements:
Possess a valid commercial driver’s license to operate a 1 ton dually and trailer and comply with all DOT rules and regulations
Solid understanding and knowledge of the sales and marketing process in the automotive aftermarket
2+ years’ experience in event-based sales and marketing in the automotive aftermarket
Desire to travel to and work at automotive events
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
Strong problem-solving and mechanical skills
Highly motivated with ability to perform under firm deadlines
Self-starter who’s able to carry out company initiatives independently
