Summary Florida Atlantic University (FAU) seeks an experienced administrator with a strong commitment to student success for the position of Director of the Student Athlete Success Center. The position also carries the title of Associate Athletics Director. FAU is a comprehensive public university enrolling over 30,000 graduate and undergraduate students, with a student body that ranks as the most diverse in Florida’s twelve-institution State University System. Summary of Responsibilities Include: •Oversees all aspects of academic support/student life programs for FAU’s over 400 student-athletes, including the Life Skills Personal Development Workshops, tutoring sessions, and study hall programs. •Provides leadership to a staff of 9 fulltime professionals and 5 graduate assistants. •Works closely with the Athletic Director, coaches, faculty, advising offices, and academic support areas to enhance students' academic and personal development. •Collaborates with the Registrar's Office and Compliance Office regarding the athletic eligibility certification process and administers the NCAA, APR, and GSR programs. Qualifications Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and six years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and eight years of appropriate experience required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential to success in this position. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.
