The Box Office & Group Sales Manager is responsible for the oversight of all box office sales functions for SPAC and Live Nation events. Leads the Box Office ticket sales team to provide premier service to all internal and external SPAC stakeholders. Executes daily box office tasks including, but not limited to, staff management, and setting up events and promotions in the ticketing system. Assists the Senior Director of Ticketing, Data and Analytics with reports. Responsible for all group sales inquiries and fulfilment, including developing new prospect lists.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversees and implements the recruiting, hiring, staffing, and training of the box office operations team. Leads / manages the box office ticket seller team.
Creates a positive & collaborative working environment and maintains staff morale
Oversees the setup and management of all SPAC & Opera Saratoga promoted events.
Issues complimentary tickets and pulls promoter/group ticket orders.
In partnership with the Senior Director Ticketing, Data and Analytics, develops and maintains all box office operational policies and procedures.
Monitors ticket inventory and sales trends in partnership with and Marketing staff to maximize revenue opportunities.
Sets up and executes all marketing promotions for SPAC events.
Meet and coordinate with House Manager in preparation of events.
Creates and fosters relationships with new and current groups via email, telephone sales, and offsite meetings.
Fulfills and maintains all group sales requests, applying deposits, final payments, and sending invoices.
Maintains onsite dining reservations.
Develops relationships and sales opportunities with outside vendors and neighborhood partners.
Creates group sale direct mail, and membership renewal pieces and email blasts in partnership with the Marketing team.
Processes requests from outside organizations for donated ticket vouchers.
Develops hospitality packages with tourism partners; coordinates publicity; analyzes results.
Leads occasional Group and VIP tours of the theater.
Ensures proper audit controls, close-out, and reconciliation processes are in place for all members of the box office staff.
Organize and oversee nightly Box Office operations during events (Ticket Sales, Will Call, Ticketing Scanning, etc.)
Ensures the Ticketing department delivers exceptional customer service to all guests and works proactively to resolve any issues that arise.
Develops and maintains box office procedures and implements strategies to reflect most effective ways of providing excellent customer service.
Responds to escalated customer inquiries via phone and email.
Facilitates and oversees distribution and delivery of all tickets.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Senior Director, Ticketing, Data and Analytics.

Bachelor's Degree in business, entertainment management or relevant equivalent experience.
2+ years experience as a Box Office manager or representative, including management level work experience
Advanced knowledge of the Ticketmaster Host system and the TM1 product suite is required.
Understanding of other Ticketing systems including Spektrix is preferred.
