USC is seeking a full-time Licensed Clinical Sport Psychologist to provide services exclusively to the university’s student athletes.
The position is the result of a joint collaboration between Counseling and Mental Health Services and the USC Athletic Department. The clinician will work as a member of the USC Sport Psychology team under the supervision of the Associate Director of Sport Psychology at Counseling and Mental Health who is in charge of Clinical & Sport Psychology Services for Athletics. The responsibilities include providing individual and group psychotherapy, crisis intervention and on-call services, performance enhancement with individuals and teams for USC student athletes at an NCAA Division I University with 21 teams and approximately 630 student athletes.
Applicants must be licensed clinicians in good standing. An understanding of boundaries and professional ethics is a must. Strong clinical, crisis, and organizational skills needed. Flexibility, follow through, and accountability are a necessity. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment is essential to this position. Experience in working with college students from diverse backgrounds is also essential.
This is a clinical position with an academic appointment in the Department of Psychiatry and the Behavioral Sciences at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. The position is full-time. Salary is competitive and contingent on qualifications and experience.
