Philosophy The athletic director acts as the cornerstone of the SC athletic department. Works directly with the CFO on budgeting, marketing, sports program development and growth goals. Serves as the liaison between the athletics and academics. Above all, the athletic Director acts as an embodiment of the school’s overarching Christian beliefs and takes an active role in advancing a culture consistent with those beliefs. Duties and Responsibilities Manage all sports program logistics Maximise facility use and aids in the systems development of a multi-sport complex for both school and public use. Build out new sports and teams. Build SC Brand and SC programs through the lens of SC culture & philosophy. Build discipline in coaches, interns, support staff and Academic Climate. Oversee the department’s overall approach towards budgeting, marketing. Meet specific growth goals, and implementing organisational, infrastructural improvements and S.O.Ps across all sports. Most importantly, work closely with the school to align campus goals and ideals. Maintain positive relationships, treating all athletes, staff, and teams fairly. Be an effective decision-maker. Help students maintain a proper educational and athletic balance. Set the creative vision for their department, consistent and aligned with the overall campus vision and ethos.
Education and Experience Must have prior experience as an AD with a proven track record. A minimum of an appropriate Ba degree, and preferably an Ma. Preferably with broad experience and familiarity with the European sports market.
