Position Objective: The successful candidate will lead origination of regional and global cash management business with multi-national Citi Commercial Bank (CCB) clients based in Asia and work with other regions outside Asia to grow in-bound business (Asian subsidiaries of US/EMEA/LATAM CCB clients). The person will also act as a senior coach and advisor to in-country CCB product sales teams across the region and provide them with necessary sales tools and product training. The transaction banking industry is undergoing a tremendous amount of disruption as clients rapidly change their behaviors with new business models (e.g. direct to consumer, eCommerce) and clients are increasingly expecting thought leadership on banking solutions geared toward their specific industry and more holistic solutions to address cash management and working capital needs. The role is responsible for successfully developing and executing a sales strategy to stay ahead of competitors, acquire new clients across the CCB client segments & deepen wallet share with existing clients by identification and delivery of innovative client centric solutions.
Develop cash and working capital management sales strategy for the business and execution plan
Work closely with country CCB Relationship Managers and Product Sales teams to identify regional/global cash management opportunities, leveraging relationship planning process
Work with other regions outside Asia to identify business opportunities with Asian subsidiaries of CCB clients
Actively call on target clients at country, regional or global levels and build a strong deal pipeline
Own deal review and approval process and ensure all approval conditions are met
Own RFP/proposal/client presentation process with special focus on timeliness and quality of proposals/pitches
Ensure successful deal implementation and revenue realization from all deals won
Keep abreast of the competition and ensure product and relationship teams are updated
Develop/execute sales training programs of CCB and TTS teams and regularly share best practices
Develop deep expertise and content for target ecosystems & its players, with high specialization for value articulation
Drive active participation of teams in Sales Campaigns - bring new commercial ideas to clients and drive sales origination
Actively manage Citi TTS & CCB brand with product road shows, marketing events, and other client related activities
10+ years of Cash Management / Banking experience
Minimum 5 years' Sales experience required
Developed communication skills, strong executive presence
Knowledge of start-up landscape & digital native ecosystem is a plus
Credit and risk trained preferred
Regional language capability (specifically Putonghua, Cantonese) desirable
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, committed team player
