Our Athletic Director...

1. Serves as the chief supervisor in the following departments: Baseball, Softball, Basketball, Flag Football, Golf, Gymnastics, Hockey, Lacrosse, Soccer, and Volleyball. This pertains to staff management, activity / curriculum development, inventory and facility oversight.

2. Helps activity directors plan and implement the curriculum during structured activity periods and elective periods. The program goals are to provide a safe, instructive and fun program that progressively teaches skills over the course of the summer.

3. Implements the Camp Canadensis Sports philosophy as it pertains to:

(A) Sports Instruction: Athletic activities should teach skills in a safe, fun and valuable way. Activity areas make use of all available staff and allows for maximum participation and differentiated instruction based on ability.

(B) Sports Electives: The are the opportunities when campers make the choice to be at an athletic area of camp and the activity should offer a higher degree of quality instruction.

(C) Athletic Games and Sports Leagues: All camp competitive games require participation from everyone, and should be fun!

4. Organizes and oversees our camp's Color War Activity, a 5-day competition that includes a majority of athletic competition.

5. Has an Assistant Athletic Director to help carry out tasks.

All applicants should have a love for athletics as well as a passion for working with youth.  Previous managerial experience is a plus.  Applicants should possess strong communication, organizational and social skills.  They also need to be able to fill the time commitment from mid-June to mid-August.
