The University of North Texas invites candidates to apply to the Senior Associate Athletic Director - Ticket Sales and Operations. This professional will responsible for the oversight and management of all ticketing operations and sales related to Intercollegiate Athletics at UNT. As a member of the External Affairs team, they will provide direction and develop strategy to maximize season, group and single-game ticket sales, revenue and retention. They will be responsible for managing the operations of the ticket box office and staff for all home events as well as providing premier customer service to all fans, donors and alumni. The position will work within the Denton community, as well as the entire DFW Metroplex to enhance the image of the athletic department and university by continual assistance in interdepartmental networking and relationship building.
Duties Includes but not limited to:
*Interfacing with customers via phone, internet, and in-person to provide premier customer service and complete ticket transactions.
*Concentration on driving season and individual games tickets sales for all athletic events, including but not limited to, premium areas, suites, club level, and courtside seats. Collaborating with the staff to maximize ticket sales revenue and premium seat donations through ticket design and presentation, strategic planning, pricing, invoicing and renewals, and solicitation materials.
*Overseeing all box office operations, managing seating and ticket inventory, organizing the process for ticket orders.
*Follow the Professional Code of Conduct as outlined by University Standards. Serves as a responsible member of the UNT community. Treats all constituencies with respect, sensitivity and professionalism. Cultivates and stewards ticket holders in a professional manner. Demonstrate good judgement.
*Comply with all NCAA, Conference USA, and North Texas athletic department rules and regulations.
*Provide assistance in support of game day operations for all sports and other events. *Works to ensure timely, accurate completion of ticket reconciliations by completing all ticketing contracts, budget transfers, collecting all monies due, sales reports and ticket settlements, etc.
*Attend and participate in university engagement opportunities. Demonstrate professional behavior and judgment at all times when representing UNT. Serve as a responsible member of the UNT community by demonstrating respectfulness, discretion, professional demeanor, appropriate dress and attention to confidentiality.
*Provide direction in the creation and management of all initiatives related to ticketing data, CRM, analytics, programs, reporting, inventory, and outbound sales.
*Manage the marketing strategy of email communications to engage constituents and drive revenue.
*Assists with the strategic direction of the external units.
*Opportunity to supervise sports at the discretion of the VP/Director of Athletics
*Manage third party partnerships – Paciolan, Fevo, secondary market, etc.
*Member of Athletics Senior Staff
Bachelor’s Degree in in related field and five years of related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
